Developed from over 50 years of research and experience, Nicker Poster Colours deliver highly saturated, smooth color manufactured to the highest standards to have minimal impurities.
The poster color of Niker uses the highest quality Gum Arabic from Sudan, which has good affinity for water. Mixing pigments and medium creates the base of the paints. By kneading pigments and medium more with the three-rollers milling machine, the paint become smoother and highly coloring. It usually takes three or four times of kneading, and sometimes 10 times depending on the color. They dry with a matte finish. Although these pigment-based paints are similar to watercolors in that they are water soluble and easy to spread, they are much more opaque. This allows artists to work freely without having to carefully avoid areas that will be a light color in the finished painting.
These are the same paints used in Japanese animation studios like Studio Ghibli to paint backgrounds, where they are appreciated for their vibrancy, versatility, and ease of use.
