Daniel Smith Watercolor Ground

- Apply the Watercolor Grounds straight from the container using a foam brush or a synthetic brush for a more textured finish.

- For the smoothest surface, apply very thin coats with foam brush, allow to dry thoroughly between coats.

- Curing: to allow watercolor ground to attain the correct degree of absorption, let watercolor ground dry and cure for at least 24 hours (depending on humidity) after the last coat.

- DANIEL SMITH Watercolor Grounds provide a surface to paint with your watercolors on most any substrate, and it is mixed media friendly.

- All DANIEL SMITH Watercolor Grounds have excellent lightfastness, are archival and give you more creative ways and surfaces to paint with watercolors!

* For Titanium White, Mars Black or Buff Titanium – when applied with 2mm thickness  
   118 ml covers approximately 10 square feet; A sheet of 22”x30” watercolor paper is 4.5 square feet, so 118 ml should cover 2 sheets.
   473 ml covers approximately 41 square feet; A sheet of 22”x30” watercolor paper is 4.5 square feet, so 473 ml should cover 8 sheets.

* For Pearlescent White, Iridescent Gold or Transparent – when applied with 2mm thickness
   118 ml covers approximately 7 square feet; A sheet of 22”x30” watercolor paper is 4.5 square feet, so 118 ml should cover 1.5 sheets.
